MARTINE McCutcheon has opened up about the health battle that made her "lose her mind".
The former EastEnders star took to her Instagram story to chat to fans about her experience with perimenopause and starting Hormone Replacement Therapy.
Actress Martine, 46, looked slimmer than ever as she spoke to her followers, telling them: "It’s been quite a game changer for me, there’s still some adjustments and tweaks to make."
Praising Davina McCall and menopause doctor Naomi Potter, she added: "I've been really so lucky to be guided by the force of nature that is Davina and Naomi Potter is a godsend to women going through this time.
"When we are all losing our minds this lady is calm, collected and so wise about the whole situation."
Martine recently opened about her addiction to Diet Coke - admitting she guzzled up to eight cans a day.
She said: "I don’t really drink tea or coffee so the caffeine in it was my thing.
“I’d wake up then be walking my seven-year-old into the playground with a can of Diet Coke and the mothers looked at me disgusted, absolutely disgusted — ‘She’s not got her posh coffee cup, she’s rocked up with a Diet Coke’.
“I was drinking it at that time of day and even before I went to bed. I always had a can next to me. I loved that little buzz it gave me.”
Martine, who shares son Rafferty with husband Jack McManus, revealed she is planning to return to acting.
