A DOG broke out of his owner’s locked house — then walked up the road to catch last orders at his local.
Woody, an 18-month-old rottweiler, was left at home when owner Mark Howarth went out to a casino with a friend.
The hound usually goes to the pub twice a week with Mark — and is so spoiled with treats he decided to head back on his own when he got free.
Mark, 38, was stunned to get a call from the landlord saying Woody was at the bar, almost a mile from home.
It was only when the dad of two checked his home security camera on his phone that he saw the mutt used its paws to open the front door of his cottage in Stockport, Gtr Manchester.
A few minutes later, he was captured on a neighbour’s CCTV walking up the street at around 11.10pm, before a camera outside the pub caught him wandering past tables in the beer garden.
He headed straight for the entrance and jumped up to peek through a window before a staff member let him in.
Mark added: “When the landlord called me I didn’t believe a word of it.
“I honestly thought it was a wind-up at first. When I checked the footage I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing.
“I knew he loved the pub but not enough to take himself for last orders!
“Everyone makes such a fuss of him so I can’t blame him for wanting more.
“I locked the door from the outside when I left the house but you can always open it from the inside.

“I’m going to have to think about a new lock now he’s worked this out.”
After getting a call from the landlord, Mark fetched his pet from the boozer before going home, only to find his front door was wide open.
Electrician Mark added: “Everyone’s had such a good laugh about it. Woody is such a character. I’m just pleased I wasn’t robbed.”
Mike Moran, landlord of The Horse Shoe Inn, said: “I had to tell Ellie, my dog, that she’s not having boys round after closing hours.
“On the night in question, there was a loud bang at the door.
“I went to look and suddenly there he was, gazing straight at me.
“Woody came straight in and made himself at home. Woody and Ellie were both settled in bed.”
Two days earlier, Mark had been at his next-door neighbour’s house when Woody escaped and let himself in.
He added: “I should have known then he was going to be trouble.”
